Sometimes love costs everything. Are they willing to pay the price?

I used to think I lived up to my name: Odin Stag, Norse god on the gridiron, fighting my way straight to the pros. Then, in one devastating instant, it all came crashing down. 

Now I'm stuck with a bum leg, no future, and a class project partner who sees right through me. Thora's all brains and ambition, counting down the days until she jets off to Oxford on some fancy scholarship. She's got no time for a washed-up jock like me. 

But there's more than a little Valkyrie in this pint-sized academic. She's got a tough shell, and I see glimpses of the battles she fought to get where she is. Frankly, it's hot AF. Her touch electrifies me like no tackle ever could.

The more time we spend together, the more I realize I depend on her, and not just for the physical stuff. Problem is, I'm rooted here in Pittsburgh with a body that's betrayed me. She's branching out across a freaking ocean.

I know I should limp away and let her soar, but I can't shake the feeling that Thora might be the one whose thunder can restore my lightning.

They say sometimes you have to lose it all to find what truly matters. I just hope I can convince Thora that what matters most is us, before she flies out of my life forever.
